Enamor

The American Herritage College Dictionary defines the word enamor as "to inspire with love; captivate."  To me, this word has a deep meaning.  It means more than just feeling love for something, but being inspired at the same time.  It makes one want to achieve more or be a better person.

The word originates from Old French.  "En-" for this word means "to cause to be" and "amor" comes from amour meaning love.  An alternate spelling comes from Britain, enamour.  It keeps the French spelling of the word.

So, when you run out of descriptive words for someone or something to care about, you can throw out enamor to impress.
