Humdrum
The American Heritage College Dictionary says that the word Humdrum means, "adj. Lacking variety or excitement; dull. n. Monotonous talk or routine." This word is probably from the root "HUM." I think despite what its definition is, this word is far from lacking and dull. Using it would cause me to feel anything but. That is quite a powerful word if you ask me.
